Dopo lo straordinario successo di “Pink Floyd at Pompei”, Roger Waters torna al cinema, dal 23 al 30 luglio, con “This is Not a Drill”: Live from Prague”, il film concerto del membro fondatore e mente creativa dei leggendari Pink Floyd, una delle band che hanno fatto la storia del rock.
Un grido potente contro l’indifferenza, un viaggio visivo e sonoro tra musica, presa di coscienza e forti emozioni: Roger Waters torna con un’opera che scuote, incanta e invita a riflettere e a resistere. “Questa non è un’esercitazione”, è il maestoso show della più grande leggenda del rock!
Originariamente registrato e filmato durante lo show dal vivo alla O2 Arena in Repubblica Ceca il 25 maggio 2023, questo nuovo montaggio mozzafiato è diretto da Sean Evans, collaboratore di lunga data di Roger Waters.
Annunciato come il suo “primo vero tour d’addio”, lo spettacolo è un atto di denuncia contro la distopia capitalistica in cui tutti noi lottiamo per sopravvivere ed è dedicato “ai nostri fratelli e sorelle di tutto il mondo che sono impegnati nella battaglia esistenziale per l’anima dell’umanità”.
L’uscita permetterà ai fan di vedere e ascoltare Roger Waters con il suo show dal vivo acclamato dalla critica. Include 20 classici dei Pink Floyd e di Roger Waters, tra cui “Us & Them”, “Comfortably Numb”, “Wish You Were Here”, “Is This The Life We Really Want?” e il suo inedito “The Bar”.
“This Is Not A Drill – Live from Prague The Movie” è filmato in 8K e offre un dettaglio e una nitidezza eccezionali con un nuovo audio rimasterizzato. Per la produzione, Roger Waters è stato affiancato sul palco dalla sua eccezionale band di musicisti: Jonathan Wilson, Dave Kilminster, Jon Carin, Gus Seyffert, Joey Waronker, Robert Walter, Shanay Johnson, Amanda Belair e Seamus Blake. Insieme sul palco offrono una performance indimenticabile, potente ma misurata, con un invito all’azione per amare, proteggere e condividere il nostro prezioso pianeta.
